England Women End Summer With Abandoned Game

India Women 7-0 v
England Women - Match abandoned
5th One Day International, Hove. England win the series 4-0

England Women made it 12 One Day Internationals this summer unbeaten but not in the manner they would have liked after rain caused their final match against India Women to be abandoned at Hove.

After a number of delays, the match was scheduled to be a 32 overs per side affair but in the event, only four overs of India's innings were possible before rain returned to curtail proceedings.

It brought to a close a successful summer for England Women which saw them beat the West Indies (1-0) and South Africa (4-0) as well as winning three Twenty20 Internationals against South Africa as they continue to build up to the 2009 World Cup in Australia.
