Fourth One-Day International, Truro
Scorecard

England Women ensured that their closely-fought series against India Women will need the final match at Wormsley on Wednesday to pick a winner after they held their nerve to win a low-scoring affair at Truro's Boscawen Park.

Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur both made half-centuries for the visitors and shared a third-wicket partnership of 86 which spanned almost 20 overs. Raj was eventually out for 58 from 111 balls, while Kaur fell in the 47th over for 55 from 74 balls. Arran Brindle ended with three wickets for England, who had bowled well as a unit, with Katherine Brunt (one for 26), Georgia Elwiss (none for 22) and Danielle Wyatt (two for 43) also returning commendable figures.

In reply, England lost Tamsin Beaumont in the third over, but Sarah Taylor again showed her class and hit a sweet 43 from 68 balls as she rebuilt the innings with the help of Lydia Greenway (24). Jenny Gunn (36 not out) and Heather Knight (24) took the home side close to the winning line with a sixth-wicket stand of 41, with the former joined by Katherine Brunt when the winning runs were hit with six balls to spare.  Nagarajan Niranjana was the pick of the tourists’ attack, taking three for 24 from her 10 overs.
