England Women return to Taunton, the home of women's cricket in England, where they will take on India in two NatWest One Day Internationals and a Twenty20 International in September.

England have not been headed this summer, beating the West Indies 1-0 and South Africa 4-0 with two matches rained off in One Day cricket before they outclassed the South Africans to win their Twenty20 International series 3-0.That run comes on the back of an ODI series draw in Australia, a 3-1 victory in New Zealand and the Ashes win in Bowral.

Gerry Sutcliffe, Minister for Sport, will be in attendance for the first match at Taunton, on September 1st, and this will be the first time he has seen the England side play.

The matches on September 4th (third ODI) and September 5th (T20) will be televised on Sky Sports as England continue to build up for next year's 2009 ICC World Twenty20, where the group stages will take place at Taunton.

Charlotte Edwards, England captain said: "It's always nice to play at the Home of Women's Cricket - in the past it's always been a good ground for us to play at and we hope that continues in an important series against India, the team ranked second in the world, as we look to continue our unbeaten run.

"It will be great to play at Taunton ahead of next year's ICC World Twenty20. The group stages will be here at the county ground as Taunton are hosting them for us, which is fantastic. It looks set to be a great tournament and we're all extremely excited at the prospect. We’ve got a really busy year coming up, so it’s going to be tough, but we’re relishing the prospect of playing in two global tournaments.

"The ground looks fantastic with all the redevelopments that are going on. We can't wait to get down there and play in front of all the supportive Taunton crowds."
