England Women 151-8 (Atkins 35, Morgan 18) beat
Australia Women 150-8 (Ebsary 40, Shaw 2-22) by two wickets
Scorecard
Third One-Day International, Stratford

England Women sealed the series with a last-ball victory over Australia Women at Stratford in the third One-Day International that was reduced to 29 overs per side due to a wet outfield.

With only two matches to go in the series, England have reached an unassailable lead ahead of matches at Wormsley and Lord's and the series win is England's first since 1976 and the first time they have ever beaten Australia in three consecutive ODIs.

Australia reached 150 for eight when they batted first, Lauren Ebsary making 40 and Lisa Sthalekar 38 but England hit back, Nicki Shaw, Holly Colvin and Beth Morgan all snaffling two wickets.

Caroline Atkins then scored 35 as England made a confident start but they too lost wickets, Ellyse Perry and Shelley Nitsckhe grabbing two each before Jenny Gunn (11 not out) and Laura Marsh (8 not out) held their nerve, picking up the two runs they required from the final delivery of the match.
