Eranga Out Of Pakistan Tests, Kulasekara Called Up
Fast bowler Shaminda Eranga has been ruled out of his country's tour to the United Arab Emirates, where they will play three Tests against Pakistan later this month and in November.
Eranga, who made his Test debut for earlier this year, has been withdrawn due to an elbow injury.
His replacement is uncapped 26-year-old Nondescripts Cricket Club right-arm quick Kosala Kulasekara - no relation to Sri Lankan ODI regular Nuwan - who has played 71 first-class matches, taking 148 wickets at 26.43.
He was a member of the Sri Lanka 'A' squad which toured England earlier this year, taking eight wickets in four matches and he also played for the Sri Lanka Cricket Board President's XI against Australia in August, where he took the wickets of Peter Siddle and Ryan Harris.
Eranga played one Test and three One-Day Internationals against Australia, taking five Test wickets and four ODI wickets.
The series gets underway when the opening Test begins on 18th October in Abu Dhabi.
