In this video exclusive, legendary West Indian batsman Sir Viv Richards gives his assessment of how much progress the current team is making.
Looking back at the West Indies winning the ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka in 2012, he says this was a very useful 'start' and he hopes it will help build their confidence in other formats.
He does not feel that tournament win should be devalued at all despite it not being a 50-over World Cup (which he won twice as a player).
In a glittering career, Richards played for Leeward Islands, Glamorgan, Somerset and Queensland, playing 121 Test and 187 One-Day Internationals.
He captained the West Indies between 1980 and 1991.
