Farningham were left frustrated this week as despite avoiding the bad weathrer that disrupted so many clubs, they only got one of their teams out on the park.
The only game that survived was played by the 1st XI, away against Ightham, and it turned out to be a thrilling game
Put into bat, FCC started off slowly with some tight bowling and were 11 for two from 11 overs. Paul Bensley (47) and Simon Price (25) then steadied the ship through to drinks.
Some quick wickets fell and with useful contributions throughout the order, FCC posted a defendable 165, but on a small ground anything was possible.
In reply Ightham had the rub of the green with Peter Sutton and Simon Price bowling well up top. The introduction of Mark Collier swung the game in Farningham's favour and Ightham were up with the run rate needing five runs per over.
The finale to the match was tense and thanks some good fielding Ightham needing 11 off the last over to win.
Adam England managed to take the crucial wicket as their main batsman holed out and FCC won by eight runs.
Speldhurst conceded giving the 2nd XI all the spoils.
Old Elthamians conceded against the U15s to give them maximum points and retain their lead at the top of the table.
Gills Travel failed to turn up on Sunday leaving everyone waiting and ultimately disappointed.
Unfortunately Farningham conceded both of their U11 and U12 games and their U13 game was abandoned.
