Fast bowler Dilhara Fernando has been added to Sri Lanka's One-Day International squad ahead of five matches against Pakistan.

Fernando picked up three wickets as a Sri Lankan A side beat the Pakistanis by 15 runs in their warm-up match earlier this week.

Fernando has played 33 Test matches and 131 One-Day Internationals, taking 162 wickets in ODIs at an average of 30.34 and joins the 15-man squad which begins the series on Thursday 30th July in Dambulla.

Fernando last played an ODI in the fourth match against India in February and it is understood his call-up comes after cover was required for returning pace bowler Lasith Malinga.

Sri Lanka: Kumar Sangakkara (captain), Muttiah Muralitharan, Sanath Jayausuriya, Upul Tharanga, Mahela Jayawardene, Thilan Samaraweera, Chamara Kapugedara, Thilina Kandamby, Angelo Mathews, Nuwan Kulasekara, Lasith Malinga, Ajantha Mendis, Malinga Bandara, Thilan Thushara, Isuru Udana, Dilhara Fernando
