Fit-again batsman Darren Bravo has been named as part of the West Indies' 15-man ICC World Twenty20 squad, having been sidelined due to injury since June.
The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) have kept faith with the nucleus of the squad that defeated New Zealand 2-0 in the recent series in Florida as they bid to better their semi-final appearance of 2009.
West Indies play warm-up matches against hosts Sri Lanka and Afghanistan on 13th and 17th September respectively before group games against Australia and Ireland in Colombo on 22nd and 24th September.
Spinner Samuel Badree is the least experienced member of the squad, which includes in Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, Dwayne Bravo, Darren Sammy and Dwayne Smith a host of versatile, hard-hitting all-rounders.
Denesh Ramdin adds more experience as wicket-keeper with Ravi Rampaul and Fidel Edwards the only specialist fast bowlers named.
