Flintoff And Anderson Named In Twenty20 Finals Squad

Lancashire Cricket Manager Mike Watkinson has named a 16-man squad to compete in Saturday’s Twenty20 Cup Finals Day at Edgbaston.

For the first time this season, Lancashire has a full squad to pick from which has caused a pleasant headache for both Manager and Captain.

Speaking from the Club’s LV County Championship match at Liverpool, captain Mark Chilton says; “Everyone at Lancashire is looking forward to the chance of winning a Trophy, particularly the Twenty20 Cup which is so popular with both players and spectators.

“Andrew Flintoff looks like he is back after bowling some overs in our Championship match this week, and could be a key player for us on Saturday.

“The top four batsmen are always important in a competition like this and we have the experience of Mal Loye, Stuart Law and Brad Hodge to kick-start our innings.

“Add to the mix our spinners, Muttiah Muralitharan and Gary Keedy, and Lancashire Lightning have danger men throughout the entire squad to win this year’s Twenty20 Cup.
