I live in U.S. and when I talk about cricket being the BEST sport those americans say "nah nah nah" I agree w/ u Sledge they are mentally handicapped and also they are drunk most of the time. Then those people really don't know what r they talking about.

True, Mujahid, I've seen many of those kind of people and some other ones. Cricket is better than any of American sport.

I wouldn't call them "a few rascals", up there I was regularly ridiculed for having the gall to walk even off the most blatant of edges! Yes, Yorkshire cricketers most definately tend to fit into the "players" rather than "gentlemen" category, initials before the name and all that!

I takes real guts to play the game as well! Facing a 90mph ball coming to your head isn't a decent sight for any batter at all.

I used to play in my bedroom with a drumstick and a ping pong ball.
Played on a beach in France with a piece of driftwood and a tennis ball. |

I used to throw rocks in the air and then hit it with bat, after couple of days, bat didn't look like bat.
One of the reason: Its always fun to watch any good team playing, even though its not your favorite team. |

LOL....I played with balloons. It was cool but it was hard to make runs because when you hit the balloon it could easily go in the air and be caught out.

I use to do like Dhoniisbest. I use to take a piece of wood wide enough or smaller and throw some stones in the air and bat them away. One time, the roof of my house was packed with stones on top of it.

Did you also cleaned it up, SW?
I used to hit the rock across the road which was more than 50 feet. One more reason why is cricket is best sport: In one match team might lose by 150 runs, in next the team that lost might win by 150 runs. India won after performing very badly. Team's performance is not always same. |

#102 (I think) - It is a developing sport. More people are getting involved in the game and starting to like it. Let's see how much longer we will have to wait before the people in North America and even Europe get crazy over it....Somehow though I think we will have to wait a while for that but nevertheless I think more countries are becoming involved in it and it is getting more popular. If the North Americans don't like it then they are missing out on half of their lives. |

# Next: Cricket is much greater than "one man show". It's bigger than any person, no matter someone might have illusion of being greater than the game.

Because cricket is a microcosm of life itself. It is a team game, but very much dependant on individual performances – like no other. You can have the game of your life and lose, you can underperform in one area, then make up for it in another. |
|
|
When you win the toss - bat.
If you are in doubt, think about it - then bat. If you have very big doubts, consult a colleague - then bat. |
