When there is any discussion about the best teams ever, the 1972 Australian team always comes up and I'm not sure why. I know they had 2 fantastic bowlers and a great captain and a few useful batsman but they drew that ashes year. Why were they rated so highly?

When you win the toss - bat.
If you are in doubt, think about it - then bat. If you have very big doubts, consult a colleague - then bat.

Perhaps instead of doing the wounded act you should be explaining where you have heard this described as a great team

The 1972 Aussie great?????????????  70DS go and read about cricket of that year - it's all there.

Now the 1974 Aussie side still makes me shake................

I think 70DS has just outdone his "I watch all of Leicestershire's matches on a special satellite channel that only I get" claim!

So just how can a side that drew  the Ashes be great?  They were ordinary - it was in '74 that Thommo and Lillee hospitalised practically the whole touring English side and won the Ashes in a canter.

Kids have lots of flashbacks 143. It took me nigh on 40 years to get that image of Raquel Welsh from that film 1,000,000 years BC out of my head!

Now it's filled with cricketers....I need a shrink!

I'm saying that in my cricket game the commentator said they were one of the great teams, it was just a question, I dont need abuse for it.

Scuudz is doing the "licking ones arse" act with the mods, outdoing even WG with his stupid statements that shout "Look at me mods, I hate the guys you hate, love me like my mother never did!"

im not even going to reply to your comments that do not relate to cricket anymore because after posting my reply i realized that u are just 15 (no offence to any other teens in here).  suddenly, all your statements made a little more sense to me.

so strike the 'grow up' statement in my last post.  i guess u cant help but act your age.

I've no problem with that idea lad - but I'm still awaiting your contribution to this fine suggestion......

As for 70DS's latest rant - calm down lad , I can almost hear your manic screeching from 7000 miles away!

Speaking of cricket humour I remember watching a Mark Richardson interview with Stephen Fleming after a match last summer. It got a little of of hand...I won't spoil it though..

Check it out, its quite amusing.
Good one Graham!
