i tried. My grandad lives near the factory and i tried using one in the nets when i was there. Just like a sword is as good as its master. But believe me class bats are more or less the same and i think i counts only 5 to 10 % of a batter's unless a batsman is fool enough to choose a substandard bat.

Well, the bat does make a difference but you don't have to have the best bat to be a good batsman. You just shouldn't have a horrible or bad bat. no matter how good you are, if you havnt got a decent bat, you will have trouble. that 25% makes all the difference. Try playing cricket with a dud bat. Lol, I remember one time I hit a fast paced ball just outside off stump with the middle of my bat straight towards the bowler. The bowler flinched expecting the ball to come firing back. There we were, both in shock as I watched the ball rolling limply towards his feet. What was it, 7, 8 yards?

Never used that bat again.
