except if you have a well timed trigger movement involving both feet, such as Kallis, devilliers and Dippenaar, watch all of them do the trigger, and then either go forward or back, whereas many of the aussies go forward no matter then go back

Nothing wrong with your initial movement being forward.How else can you get on the back foot if you do not go forward first

Sorry right hand bat - we all mustn't be pro's like yourself. I don't actually remember anyone saying they struggled I think it is more the fact that you have to get used to it. I used it last night on our clubs artificial nets, found it really good. I usually have a front foot trigger movement, but the people I was using it with tried to get me to do it without. I think they are great, good way of fine tuning certain shots and seem to be really really useful. Excellent machines for grooving a particluar shot.

Should NEVER be used with the TIMER function.

Balls fed by a coach or responsible team mate is a MUST.

When we practice with bowling machines our coach holds the ball upright before he puts it in the machine so its easier to get yourtrigger movement right. They are good because reaction time is speeded up, but you cant really get your trigger movements in because theres the beep then a 2 second break and you're just waiting for it! Then it just speeds out at you! Good practice though!

I agree. I think its because when a real bowler is bowling your feet respond better. When its a bowling machine its a ball coming out at once from nowhere.
