Despite his record of off field acts, he has stayed loyal to australian cricket when he was offered the chance to play for england. He would of played test cricket for england for years had he left our shores.

Jacques being a keeper...... first I am hearing of it too. He was actually given his debut in the 2001 VB series against Zimbabwe and played well there, and he performed well in that game, and I was impressed by him straight away.

He bats in the middle order, and not as opener, but Australia doesn't need a wicket-keeper opener, when they already have Hayden, Maher, Jaques, Langer etc in the squad, excluding Gilchrist. He has a good batting ability and a good keeping ability and I think he should and will bethe number one Australia wickie when Adam Gilchrist goes.
