And I will also point out I am neither oneof their sponsored players not some starry eyed fanboy.

I was interested in involving the Fusion brand in one of my businessinterests and subsequently have spoken to Bill and James on a number ofoccasions - you simply could not come across 2 nicer or more helpfulpeople and what always comes shining through over and above ANYTHINGELSE is their love of, and commitment to the game of cricket as awhole.

Indeed I could tell you of numerous instances where they havehelped me out/offered to help where there was precisely NOTHINGin it for them beyond helping someone get along in the big wide worldof cricket. That is a generosity of spirit that is all too rare in thisday and age, and one which should be applauded.

Edited by Clobber

    Author: Sidman
Subject: 1199
Posted: 14 March 2006 at 3:03am

Dear Fusion,

Good on you for supporting cricket. You may of note my earlier apology and let me apologise again to you Bill, James and all the Fusion people.

I ain't going to nick pick over each and every one of your postings here mate. Your 65 years have obviously yielded you a better bat maker than you are in command of the english language or a keyboard.

By the way, I love cricket and I like to be a happy customer and it just so happened to be I am one and happy to share the experience to the people that ask - getting back to the original post.

The way I read your original post was that you claimed the shape was yours, my interpretation, before we start hauling in the be-wigged barristers, it was the way I read it and interpretted it.

The words "may have" are a bit ambiguous. "Sorry Hilary it looks like I may have slept with Monica" "Looks like I may have snorted cocaine""Looks like I may have sent the troops to Iraq""It looks like we may have won the game"was this said at the innings break after AUS scored 434 against SA. get my drift???? I am being silly now aren't I?

I am not here to take the p#@s out of you or your company, in fact I knew about your company before I knew about this forum and had a thorough look at your product range and was quite impressed. Good on you.

Using forums as a form of marketing I think is great lets the customer talk to the maker etc however lets not have this forum turn into a commercialised advert centre. Next thing you know there will be pop ups advertising the latest $25,000 bat that is being endrosed by the Duchess of York, David Brent and some forgotten big brother celeb and is available in a gold leafed mahogany box from Harrods with the illegal carbon fibre back and will cure erection problems as well - now I am taking the P1$$

GO ahead Bill answer what you can but choose your words cause others interpret it differently sometimes.

There also seems to be a lot of rumour and uninformed sl*ggin of products in forums as well. hence the original post - mixed ideas about how they are made and are they crap? I was simply clarifying the matter.

However if this forum is the biggest concern of yours, I think you got other battles to fight.

How many other cricket products out there are named FUSION. GRAY Nic FUSION, Charlie French FUSION. I will not insult your 65 years of intelligence by offering a tip to protect your IP/trademarks.

I ain't here to sl*g off your product or blackmail you into sending me 10 of yours bats so I write a positive review or anything (however I will consider it if you send it!), just sharing my thoughts on a product i happen to have -a Bradbury Bat.

I hope you have plenty of happy customers like me that will literally "go into bat" for your product. Apologies if you thought I was sl*gging off your company as it was not my intention to do so.

Sid
