    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.cricketworld.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=1941">Hades</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 2249<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 21 September 2006 at 6:23pm<br /><br /><P>As a batsmen you need to think that you can play against the best bowler&nbsp;the other team has got.&nbsp; So whenever you are walking towards the pitch, just remind yourself once that I am better than the bowler.&nbsp; Now, there is a very thin line here between being cocky and being confident.&nbsp; You need to be on confident side and&nbsp;never get cocky, because that's&nbsp;when you get out.</P><P>Different things work for different people.&nbsp; One of my mates likes to sit alone and concentrate before going in.&nbsp; He won't even talk to anyone before he goes in, I guess he is just trying to get in that frame of mind.&nbsp; Me personally, I&nbsp;bat&nbsp;at #4 for my team but have been asked to open the innings quite often as well and every time I walk in the ground I talk to myself (sounds psycho I know) and tell myself that I know I am better than their bowlers and the only way they&nbsp;will get my wicket is if I give them my wicket myself.&nbsp; Again&nbsp;not being cocky just confident, cocky will have you walking back to the&nbsp;pavillon pretty soon.&nbsp; Been there and done that in the past unfortunately <IMG src="http://www.cricketworld.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0">&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;&nbsp;</P><span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by Hades</span>]]>

But I have some tips for faceing spin.
