Martyn was a sacrificial lamb for the Ashes defeat. After that seriesone of the over-30's was always going to get dropped, and Hayden savedhimself at the last minute.

Martyn is still a class act and one series with a couple of poordismissals and a couple down to bad umpiring doesn't change that fact.In my opinion he should not have been dropped, but now that Hodge is inthere they have to give him a fair run at it.
