I don't believe some of these threads. If you can't think of something sensible to post , then please do nothing and just read the other postings.

Bradman was a freak of nature who played cricket at a level that no-one has come anywhere close to matching.

Rubbish!! Harold Larwood was seriously quick and hit practically every Aussie batsmen on the 1932 Bodyline Tour! Voce was quick too!

   Pitches weren't anywhere near the standard of today and they remained uncovered in all weathers.

It's silly to compare cricketers of different eras , but don't patronise the quicks of yesteryear - they were nasty fellows , just like todays guys!

That is true somewhat, many bowlers in taht time used to barely be medium pace and bowled from 5 strides, but there were a few that were super quick Truemen, the bodyline bowlers, and tha Aussie aboriginal who they say is the fastest ever bowler. Sorry can not remember his name.
