It is also a shame he was a cop and not a playing as a fast bowler in the late nineties for NZ... NZ finally get a really world class cricketer and he is stuffed around with injuries.

he was bowling around the low 140's during the Pak match, but brett lee hasn't been bowling much faster, so i dought he i going full pace.

Now i heard he has done a hammy, haven't heard much more than that, so i guess that it isn't too bad.

The Icc Trophy won't be good for bond stat wises, ages off, injury scare, super hot and humid and not the greatest pitches for pace bowling. I heard that Bishop said that when a pacer has just come back from injury, it takes a good while to get back in the grove. He said he say it from Ambrose.

Its the same story with Bond and McGrath too.

I don't think his shoulder was shining perfect. Must have been only 99% perfect. No surprise that Bond didn't fire , he hasn't played any cricket in ages!

After a lengthy layoff , it's highly unlikely that any quick bowler will come storming back , especially in these conditions.
