Perth: Was better than past pitches, had a bit in it for the bowlers, but still was good enough for 500 + first innings scores. </DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>SCG: provided movement for the quicks, but wasn't too dangerous for the batsman as well as the usual turn the pitch generates- especially toward the later stages. </DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>MCG: a drop-in pitch, though it generally provides a result, one Australia usually take advantage of in the first test of a series before the opposition team have had time to settle. </DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>There was a bit of pace and bounce as well as swing&nbsp;in every pitch, followed by a flattening out period,&nbsp;which favours almost every type of cricketer.</DIV><span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by bondy - 02 February 2008 at 10:23pm</span>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.cricketworld.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=739">Clobber</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 4452<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 02 February 2008 at 11:26am<br /><br />The ODI one is fairly meaningless given the opposition so I hope that one gets broken in a match between 2 proper teams.<br><br>The T20 score will definitely go higher in the near future with someone likely to score 300 at some point.<br><br>The Test one was another fairly pointless exercise; what was the result of the match? Precisely. So in one sense you'd hope not to have to endure something like that again, though it would be darkly amusing to see some team lodge their protest at the state of some of these pitches by just batting all 5 days to finish up 1600 for 4 or something equally ridiculous.<br>]]>
