They just didn't prioritise this odi series. Australia are in for a shock when the other teams in the WC dismantle them like a lego kit.

I don't know what they put in Pietersen's tea at breakfast , but that innings was the most frenetic I've seen in a long , long time - I thought he could get out off every ball. Simply embarrassing , he should donate all proceeds from this one day series to the Queensland appeal.
Nice knock by Voges , I've always thought him a decent bat.

A whole three days in Blighty before heading off to Bangladesh - they'll feel fresh as daisies after that kind of holiday !

As WC was fast approaching and playing already tired players in 7 match ODIs would be risk & foolishness. They did the right thing, That said I am sure they wanted to win each and every match in ODIs too.

I feel they played safe before the world cup.Kind of a trade off. They very well know come the real world cup matches , they will be well set for it.

Flower is a smart bloke- second string attack all the way through the series, give your bowlers a rest after a 5 test marathon- play Finn & Anderson because they've both had a break- batsman need runs so keep them on the field.

Flower has used this whole series as a training camp for the world cup.
