    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.cricketworld.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=1472">Roddy</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 306<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 23 August 2006 at 12:22am<br /><br /><P>yeah my mate had a L &amp; V.&nbsp; He got a few runs with it mbut it didn't last too long.&nbsp; When he used it he said it raced off the middle, but sometimes he found the sweet spot hard to find.&nbsp; I personally got myself a fusion at the start of the season.&nbsp; An astounding cricket bat in its own right, however ahat has really impressed me is the quality of service from the company.&nbsp; Unforunately I had to dig out a couple of quick yorkers and got some moisture in the toe which caused a bit of a problem, but all it took was a phone call to James and a £5 postage and I got it back brand spanking new in two days!&nbsp; sent it down again recently when I was worried about some harmless driving cracks and got it back again, same service, free of charge, 2 days.&nbsp; If Fusion can afford to provide this level of service to their obviously well valued customers, it must be unlikely that they get many dissatisfied customers or damaged bats.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>Roddy</P>]]>

It is well made with the current fashion for a sweeping back and slightly bowed face. It required knocking in as the "pre knocked in treatment" involves little more than a few cursory bashes but overall it plays very nicely indeed. When the company launched the story was that one of the guys went to use an old bat but found it riddled with woodworm, so cut out those sections of the bat to prevent it spreading, and the rest is history.]]>

It's all marketing people. Choose your own bat not becuase this test player uses it. Pick one that FEELS right in your hands - they are the best bats. If you choose it on looks and brand alone you could be making a costly mistake if the bat is not right for you.<br><br>I personally have used Gray Nicolls for the last 15 years and have never had a bad bat. I've had 3 during that time. Dynadrive as a junior and now as a senior used a powerspot pro perf and have now got a longbow 5 *. I've been very happy with GN and will probably continue to use them but I must say I could be swayed by a custome made one.<br><span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by Paul Alcock</span>]]>

James was so helpful. Whereas I can imagine going directly to one of the major manufacturers and asking for test quality willow and getting a weird look like "who the hell are you pathetic excuse of&nbsp;a human being - you DARE to ask for test match willow!"</P><P>I just hope that Fusion keep things the way they are!</P>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.cricketworld.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=1319">marky</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 306<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 20 April 2006 at 7:26am<br /><br /><P>There is no such thing as the best of anything!!!You can't say that x is better than y.Well you can but it is only your opinion.It would make much more sense if the topic was called "the most popular bat".If you are looking for out and out performance,sure you can get a good Grays,GM,Hunts,Kooka,but in my experience it's a lottery.By buying a less well known brand you are more likely to get a good bat,as they absolutely have to live or die by their product.I was in a shop yesterday buying a cricket bag.Whilst I was there I had a quick look at the bats,and the bats that caught my eye were the Salix bats.They were all beautifully made,balanced,and just smacked of high quality.That being said I myself have gone for a Fusion Superbest,as&nbsp;I can pick my willow from the same pile as the test players can ,who have their bats made by them.There is no distinction.As far as I know this is unique in the industry as other companies have private reserve stocks for the pros!!</P><P>Mark.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P>]]>
