    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.cricketworld.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=2085">Ian.Canaway</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 2477<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 09 October 2006 at 8:31pm<br /><br />Hiya,<br><br>If you are going to be doing the ECB Level 1 or it's new equivalent you'll likely be covering things from learning how to plan and run a successful session, how to teach the pupils, what to teach in terms of coaching points/drills, how to make sure that everybody has fun and learns at the same time. <br><br>You'll also likely have to look at child protection issues and if you are going to coach you'll have to have a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check done before you start any coaching. <br><br>You'll also be encouraged to join the ECBCA (ECB Coaches Association) which will provide you with insurance cover, give you updates about access to coaching courses and the like, which i'd recommend, it's only around £25 p/a.<br><br>Coaching courses are definately worth doing as you'll learn alot more than you think and you might even identify problems/errors in your own technique.<br><br>Good luck!<br>]]>
