He maybe a very good test player and captain but he just doesn't cut it when it comes to one dayers and why he is still there I cannot understand. You have to at least have some expectation on you to be considered a failure. I don't think many people (apart from the controversial SA selectors) actually expected Kemp to do anything. I just said I felt he'd been a bit of a disappointment in the tournament, as the topic of this thread suggests. I'm sure you can dig up that other thread regarding best finishers and carry on this tired old discussion there...
Bevan proved himself long term and Hussey has a hell of a long way to be in the same class has Bevo. Hussey had an opportunity when he came in the 37th over in match and through his wicket away when he didn't have to. And when came in to score quick runs, he failed where normally he would have dominated.

I know this was only a couple of knocks but this is a guy who was averaging in the 80's not that long ago and now averages in the 50's. I certainly wouldnt class him as a failure but we did expect a bit more from him and hopefuly he comes good in the Semi's/Final if he is required to.
