Man, Fishcake really is a legend and he is getting to be in the top list of my favourite posters. Long live the legendary fraudster.

SHUT UP you boastful so and so. Fishcakes deliveries are ones that anyone can do but with different names. Even he admits that. "They can deceive most batsman" How woudl you know, you've never seen them? Stop doin this return key business, its a waste of space and the spaceship is probably a normal leg spin thats supposed to do something like bounce but actually its all in your head!

Mr. 70_degree_spin,

There have been several quickish legspinners with the googly and the top-spinners as their main weapons. I simply modelled my action on one of the quickest legspinners ever, B.S.Chandrasekhar. He did give the googly a big rip and had most batsmen in two minds with his action. You've got to practice only the googly till you can achieve that kind of turn for it is meant to be a surprise ball than a stock one.

It took me almost two years before I could master the googly. But the result was an inflexible wrist which would face the batsman at the point of delivery. I had problems in rotating my wrist. So I opted for the easy way out. I just kept bowling straight and fast. My wrist did the trick for me.

I bowl many variations of the googly, the one that spins from just outside offstump towards the legstump. The second variation is pitching it right on the offstump such it would hit the batsman's middle-stump. "I once hit the balls of an opposing batsman  with that one."

The third one is a full pitched googly with ample flight. Even I don't know which way the ball will spin but most times, it does induce an edge from the batsman's drive.

The fourth one is the other variation of the googly bowled from the fingers.

I use lots of variation on pace and flight as I'm much quicker than the normal leggie.

If you have not seen something in person, there's a fair chance that it can be true or false.

These are not cock and bull stories. They come from real experience. I wish you had an inflexible wrist like mine. Then you would know what it is like to hold a pen in the wrong manner while writing and bowling googlies always.

Some people feel the need to name their variations and say they "discovered it".

To be fair, my fellow legend, you've not seen them either!

I thought I invented the spaceship

I'm not English, I'm Scottish! I morally hate the English, except the ones I like. Do you have a hatred for New Zealanders?
