It's quite interesting how many batsmen have hit as many hundreds as fifties or better, I always thought that batsmen always had more fifties.

A mathematical point of order - if you score 25 100s and 25 50s that isn't, as repeatedly stated, a 1:1 conversion rate, that is a 1:2 conversion rate. Out of 50 scores over 50 the batsman has gone on to make a century 25 times, 1 out of every two 50+ innings.

Flintoff's conversion rate is poor for someone who everyone raves on about and makes comparisons to Botham and co. 5 centuries and 24 fifties. nothing to get excited about. Ponting's conversion rate is ridiculously good his posted 69 fifty plus scores and on 33 occassions has gone on to score a hundred or more.
