I heard that the Bangladore pitch will be bouncy! Let's see how the Asia xi cope.

This event is pathetic imo.  Another event in an already busy schedule.

The ICC responds to demand so it's a business technically! I guess that explains it all.

The only thing that would actually make me take an interest is if the Asian XI get a pounding in what is effectively a huge mismatch.

On a side note, isn't there a 20/20 match today?

I agree its a business and the ICC only responds to demand.  There must be hundreds of thousands of fans that want to watch these games with interest.  However, its strange that I havent seen anyone on this forum say theyve been waiting for this tournament eagerly.

Correct me if I am wrong folks, but doesn't the sub continent folks enjoy the ODI game a lot, even more than test cricket. I guess that's why it is played there too.

I didn't watch yesterday's match. Don't think there would have been a good crowd in. It's such a boring contest.

With Afro team on 31/5 it seemed the case.
But they ended up at 283 or something with Pollock scoring his 1st ODI centurySmile

I must give some credit to Sehwag for a good enough 45. Just hope it's a good sign toward getting back into good good form.

A mean at 88 for 7 it looks like Africa xi was gonna get a massive defeat but up step who, Shaun Pollock with a scintalling first ton. Oh man would believe it, they still hit 283 all out. I waited a very long time for this from Pollock. Maybe he had a long couple hours of phone talk with Graham Pollock. Just good stuff,
Cricket is simply the best sport in the world and will be the best for my till I die. Thank god for cricket.

I strongly believe 100% that Sachin Tendulkar make a superb decision by pulling out of this Afro-Asian cup because the last thing i want is to see Sachin pickup an Injury.

It's more than just a little bit stupid. The game has an off-season for a reason. Players need a break, particularly after having played a World Cup.

Besides, this is rugby season...

Looks like Sehwag is pulling up his socks ahead of some big series.  Good news for us Indian fans.  Apparently, he is also much fitter than in the WC and has lost 8 kgs in the last 6 weeks.

lol every time he hit 50+ i think hes back in form but again then match hes gone after making 10+ runs. Loosing weight aint going to help him. he needs to work on his batting no need to hit every freaking ball out of the park. we know he can do it but he just need to calm his self and play a big role. The way he batted in last match i dont think he will be picked for England unless he show his improvement in Irland & 1 ODI wit pakistan.

What expectation ?  It was a complete waste of time and should be abolished.

Sehwag has been a wast of space for the last 18 months, what point did singh prove?

Nothing much, frankly. But showed signs of getting his turn and bounce in the last match. Pitch also might have had a say.
