It was not any logic mate. was just a gut feel. I take my views back if you think this is what I am using as a hypothesis for the games b/w India & SRL.

Why shouldn't Pakistan have not won that match? I guess they were quite clinical in thier approach that particular day.

Yes the schedule was hectic and pathetic. But it was not biased or unfair to a particular team, as the second round fixtures' dates were decided way early.

Because India had won their first match quite convincingly. If you had taken only that match as a yard stick, Pakistan couldn't have won the second. Pakistan played better and won the second match. Similarly, India losing yesterday doesn't mean that they would have lost the other day as well.

But you can't have two teams playing back to back games and the other not playing back to back games. Either all the teams play back to back or none.

However, I feel Indians didn't plan their innings taking Mendis and Murali into consideration. Every individual player wanted to over attack him initially and by the time they realized they have to play him safe, it was too late.

The better team on the day won. they probably have more match winners than India or Pakistan. Moreover, I also dont get it when a lot of people, websites and newspapers say that Pakistan win over India was an upset!! Give me a break..there is almost nothing to chose between these two teams atleast in the one dayers

Yes. That's exactly what I meant. Infact, I believe nothing to choose between the three teams in one-dayers in Asian conditions. I feel Mendis is more of a effective bowler till you get used to him. India and Pakistan are better outside Asia, specially in Australia because Muralitharan and Jayasurya effect would be reduced to great extent.

Coccaine or Speed probably!
No I don't think he really has drugs but you've got to wonder how he does it.
I think Mendis and Murali will be far more than a handfull on a sub-continent track.
Mendis should make a test debut soon.
I don't see how the board could ignore giving him one after the Asia cup!

Couldn't take the decision so easily after yesterday's performance mate. He might be successful in the initial few matches. But unless he has variations in flight/pace, good control over the line and length, he couldn't play test cricket for long. Ability to turn the ball in both ways without the batsman being able to make out initially is not enough. Batsman around the world are going to take a look at his video's now and his real test starts after that.

I've got a bit of him on tape and I'm still having trouble picking his veriations.
His style will definatly be a handfull for the first few matches and then after batsman work him out he should have enough experience to change and adapt like I've seen a few spinners do.
