A definite tactical change here by SA - they are really attacking the bowling and Brett Lee is the guy taking the pounding!
4-0-26-0 and no edges in that , just good , solid hitting.
Micky Arthur said they'd address their shortcomings in the restricted overs periods and it's quite noticeable. Dippenaar especially looks like he's revved up!!

I'm a purist Titan , I've got my 5 day ticket for a fortnight's time , but I'm not interested in the shortened version (except world cup or England matches).
R250 for a 5 day ticket.....R220 for the cheapest today......I know which I'd rather pay and watch !

Not enough in these conditions - 285-295 is likely to push them to the limit.

Some fantastic opening overs from Stuart Clark; cleaning up Smith in a wicket maiden and following it up with another maiden. His figures now stand at 1/14 off 5.

Crucial that Gibbs is there at the end for South Africa. Otherwise they'll be lucky to get past 200.

Australia set 288 to win....but Ntini opens up with a double wicket
maiden to leave the Aussies at 1 for 2 (or 2 for 1 if you're from
downunder) - Gilly and Jaques both gone

County Sim on extended break until I've got less work and more free time. When I have a specific date, I'll post it in the thread.

Haha, I'm glad I didn't bother to stay up and watch that!
It's interesting that everyone was caught; did the pitch start doing funny things?

Nothing massively untoward in the pitch I think - some good bowling, poor batting and the ball doing a bit more under the lights

Makhaya Ntini career best figures of 6 for 22 from 9.3 overs amazing performance by south africa there 2-0 with 3 games remaining can australia do the unthinkable ponting and symonds should be coming back for the 3rd odi that should boost the teams confidence only shane watson(27) and michael hussey (22) put up a fight and katich did okay

An extremely dismal performance by teh Aussies with both bat and ball, but s*** happens and we were missing 3 big guns in the skipper, Symonds and McGrath. If SA do not win one of teh next 3 games then they will lose the test series me thinks.

Abosolutely pathetic, just shows how crap the Australian side is without Ponting and Symonds
If someone is to blame it would be the whole team, maybe its time for Hussey to move to opener to relieve all the stress and the weight on him
