Bit of a problem here Charlie, one player can't take up two batting
spots! You should have made the poll 'multiple votes' my friend.

Ive voted for hussey but i think hayden should partner him. They cant just take Hussey out of the team when he is on fire

They won't though, they'll open with Hayden and Langer and Hussey will
bat at number 5. Right now, a batting line up of Hayden, Langer,
Ponting, Hodge, Hussey looks very strong indeed.

Symonds would bat at 6 or 7 in the all-rounders spot though, not in the middle-order.

Hussey is a good opener though it might just be beginners luck...if anyone believes in that. Only time will tell how good he really is. But I voted for him because he seems like a fine opener right now for Australia.

He is a really good player i can confirm that first hand after having
the pleasure of watching him at the Riverside Stadium for Durham CCC.

Hussey is already 30. So he will at the most be around for another 7 or 8 years. If he can continue to play like he is right now, then he'll be just fine. He will accomplish himself.

Not sure he'll be around quite that long Saad, but he's scored over 15000 First Class runs so he's had a long enough apprenticeship before getting his Test chance. I can see him in the middle order for the next 2 or 3 years, no problem.

I was just saying at the most he will be around for another 7 years. Really, I think he will be around for another 4 or 5 years.

Hussey should open with Hayden in tests. Langer should come at number 3. In odi's, Gilly and Hayden should open

Not as great as Hayden and Langer though. I can't understand why you all seem to want to fix what clearly isn't broken. You open with Hayden and Langer with the knowledge that Hussey can bat at 5, but should anything happen injury-wise to Hayden or Langer he can step in. Having him there also puts pressure on the two openers, which is a good thing. |

Hussey has made a great start to his test career and he is a good opener. But maybe the more experienced Hayden and Langer opening partnership is better.

Maybe Shane Watson could be included in the squad if Symonds is not in form in the next series or two

There is no way Hussey has beginners luck, he's been on fire and constently going since the England tour. Even when Hussey doesn't do well he gets at least a 30 to help out his team |
