Considering Johnson was mean't to be this great bowler (Lillie really rated him).....hes 26 already, and hasn't really shown much promise on the international scene yet.

it maybe indeed doea have 2 do with the location, but i just think people r really not as interested in cricket as they used 2....
Apart from that, i just think that the Windies so far have made my prediction beofre the home season prove correct. We do need Gayle back and i think a spinner should have been a part of the team for the last test.

i believe australia now r gonna be a bit more 'mortal' as they will indeed have 2 work harder bowling team out twice.

Well Lewy, I think the whole cricket world knows about that and there were more dodgy decisions too.
About the poor crowds, i'm not too sure of the cause but I heard the stadium is like in the middle of nowhere and also people lost some of their madness about cricket, although they still love it. Prices could be another factor but I'm not too sure.

Stuart MacGill , in his final test , was fined an undisclosed sum by
his own teammates. The reason - he was late for the start of play
on one day during the match! He says he overslept and missed the
team bus. Just why the bus left without him is a question that needs
asking.
The Aussie mean machine seemed to be unravelling lads !!

Always gort the impression Stuy is not among the favored guys in the Ausie team. But aint there a simple way to wake somebody up if he keeps sleeping? I find it strange

I hardly sleep whenever we have a match the following day, never mind oversleeping. And with the noise in the corridor, couldn't he hear it? It is good that he retired, must have been taking a tall on the body

Well, for you guys wondering whats so strange about the situation, it's the way the Aussies go. When they were here in St. Vincent, they told some of the locals about it. Them does leave exact on time no matter who is missing and them say you have to find your own way after. I guess that's just there way of teaching the players to be on time.

But Spin, i fink that the result was indeed justified. To many times the west indies have been the recipients of poor umpiring decisions. For the first time the 1st innings collapse was not the fault of the batsmen with their usual mindless batting.

West Indies have named the young pacer Kemar Roach into their 14 man squad for the last test. Devon Smith and Parchment have been dropped while Chattergoon and Roach have been added.
This lad Roach is really quick. Have a look at the latter part of this clip. Click here

How does a team be the recipient of too many poor decisions, yet this innings be the 1st time a collapse was not their fault?

Gayle sends Australia into bat, great decision that! They bowled well as a unit, now they need to wrap up the tail. Australia will not want to concede a first innings lead either.
Is this an indication of a waning Australia side or a growing West Indies team? Or both?

The pitch is lively , I think the Windies will battle to make anything
close to the Aussies total. As usual , a lot will depend on Sarwan ,
Chanderpaul and the almost fit again Gayle.

the good thing for the WI is that they are a full strength side now, surely gayle and chattergoon can provide them with a better start than what smith/parchment/marshall were providing.

that is a very good point sledge.......also, i wanna c Chattergoon give some good support. I know it maybe difficult for him comin back from injury 2 get rightback into the groove of things, but i really wanna c a concerted effort from the entire order.

Bondy it a combination of both....I wont say a waning Aussie team, but just 1 which has now had to get back 2 reality. The Windies, as i did call it would be a bit more competitive since that South African series. We still need a whole lot of work, but i think that things will indeed begin to improve steadily. The guys seem 2 be a bit more hungry

The return of Gayle will have lifted the entire squad and every neutral
wants to see the Windies giving all the top sides a hard time.
It's propbably a touch early to say they've turned the corner , but the
signs are encouraging. That plucky effort to draw in Antigua was
heartening and let's hope that this match will be a continuation of
that dogged resiliance.
Holiday here on Monday , so by Tuesday I'll know the answer !

well they have struggled big time, johnson has finally delivered, WI are still lacking consistency, but man shivanraine chanderpaul has to be the most difficult man to get out, forget about sachin, forget about ponting, chanderpaul's got to be the most prized wicket in cricket today, hats off to you chandu, that was pretty much super human.

Chanders was always more tougher to get than them Sam, just mean those were more destructive.
Anyhow, watch a pitch. Quick and bouncy and days one and two, real damn good for batting today and suppose to stay so tomorrow as well and I see the same for day 5 too. Only the foot marks will seem to cause trouble for the batsmen. Another world record chase is gonna be on the hunt, can the windies get another against the same team? I must be dreaming here.

WI have disappointed, once again it's either a draw or an aussie win... brilliant simon katich, talk of grabbing an oppourtunity with both hands and here is a perfect example, the aussies do it better than any other team in the world and thats why they are the very best.

I won't say they have disappointed Sam, it would have been hard for any bowler to take wickets on that pitch yesterday. It was just too good for batting.

United this season....i now can believe in themmmmm....jus need 2 grit it out 2morow and make thier intentions clear from the off
