Yes I made sure that all the good teams aren't in one group and gave everyone a chance to qualify and compete.

Boof will be fielding a weaker side for this cup. I have at least one new trainee that will get a start.

Rifat my question is whether we are gonna get 16 weeks.I have a very good feeling that I am going to last for 6 weeks this season in the battrick cup on Sundays.
It would have been better if you had made 3 groups of four or 4 groups of 3.

Throw the next match by TIE and fielding a weaker side akki, actually there is no benefit apart from gate receipts by progressing further in the Battrick competition, its impossible for a lower division side to win. And I am thinking about a one legged semi-final and final, what are others thoughts on that? |

IMHO it should be a little shorter, like with three groups, but I don't really care either way.

If all the teams don't get knocked out by next week then I will make the sem-final and final one legged so the competition will be finished in 14 weeks.

Make the team that finishes higher in the group get the home advantage in the semi final.
And when are the fixtures coming? |

No, the weaker team will get the home advantage,
And I will give the fixtures on Monday or Tuesday, a lot of people are still in the Battrick competition. |

I'm with boof, I'ms shocked we're not in 3 groups
And whats the point of finishing higher in the table if you have to go away because of it?

Use your common sense Leezy, its not possible to divide 14 teams into 3 groups, there will be something like five teams in one group and four in other which is not fair at all and if I do get another team to even things out then we will have 6 teams progressing to the next round and therefore we will have to play quarter-finals, taking up two more weeks. |

He's right. You need a big advantage if you finish first. Finishing first requires alot of hard work. I think everyone will target second place rather than first in their group. |

Can we make it the home team's responsibility to issue the challenge?
I'm certainly out of the cup this week, FWIW. Lastly, I agree that the higher placed team after round robin should have home advantage, otherwise all sorts of things happen to try and be the strongest side but finish 2nd... Thanks Ciao Zak |

Ok, I will include that in the rules. And even if one team intentionally tries and finishes second there is one big disadvantage of facing the strongest team from the other group in the semi-finals. |

Yes, that would mean no one gets an advantage, it would be equal. The team finishing first should deserve an advantage over the other team, because it takes lots of hard work, and effort, to finish first, than second.

I just checked, everyone is out of the cup except Akki and Ck_spin, the Indian cup must be easier than the others.
Now we have to wait another whole week for the two of them. |
