Battrick Cup Season 6.2

a waste i wood say as it doesnt make sence why not just do a small league table playing each team once and maybe top 4 is through to semis like the last 8 in world cup

Ok I've read this through twice now and I still don't entirely understand, I think we should have another forum cup though and if you can explain you're idea a bit more clearly monty I'd be happy to join.

Yeah i think I understand now, sounds like an interesting idea and I think it could work, so you can count me in, still need 6 more though and most people don't seem too interested (my team names WHCC by the way)

Ok this hasn't worked yet again but judging by the bt thread people are interested in playing a bt cup as there are a fair amount of friendlies being organised in the main thread.

I have yet another idea to make the cup a bit more flexible than it was in previous seasons because I think thats where season 5 went wrong.

My idea is simple(ish) I only need 4 teams for it to work so we should be able to play. Basically lets say 4 people sign up, i will then post up a list of fixtures that need to be played by the end of this season. It is then up to you to play all the fixtures on the list involving your team. You don't have to play them in order, you don't even have to play all the fixtures although you won't ahve played as many games as everyone else.

4 points per win
0 for a loss
2 for a tie
2 points to each team for playing the fixture or for trying to play a team by challenging them but not recieving a reply

You only get the challenging bonus at the end of the tournament if the fixture isn't completed. You have to be honest and also send the challenge by Tuesday at the latest so people have time to accept.

This format means you don't have to play every week and teams can still play even if they don't complete fixtures

It's another idea of how to run the cup or we can do it the old fashioned way Rifat did it, with 4 teams minimum

Either that or because I beat Monty by 300 runs the other day and we are the only 2 competitors I'm forum champion

So is anyone up for it, I only need 3 more teams and a vote from each team on which format they want
