Well here he is, first youth pull of the new season and I'm really very excited:

Jason Delap (2431374) shortcut

RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh fitness.
An attacking player with proficient leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: NineTenXI
Nationality: Australia
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 4,148
Wages: £734 p/w
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: woeful Concentration: worthless
Bowling: respectable Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: worthless

Will be giving him 2x bowl, 1x field and 1x stam. Only a relatively low respectable, but it's the first resp youth I've had so I'm delighted Big%20smile

Wow, thats a nice youth pull Braddles.

I had no pops today, but I'll have a go at pulling a youth in about 2 hours, so hopefully I'll get a good one.

Edit: got a terrible youth pull even with 35 ITS, fired, hopefully next week will be better

Couple of good pops for Lampard:

3. Nigel Lampard - 18 yo, BT Rating=16,210 shortcut
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, strong batting form, woeful bowling form, low fitness.
defensive player with proficient leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: competent
Batting: proficient Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: proficient Consistency: strong
Fielding: feeble

Very happy with them, that's it for his batting training, at least he knows which end to hold. Wasn't expecting the consistency pop at all, so that was really pleasing.

Had a horrible youth pull, low med/med/med so I sacked him Angry

Just doesn't fit in with my plan mate. Possibly a mistake, but I just don't have the nets.

My trainees for this year:

1. Ryan Appleby - 19 yo, BT Rating=29,782 shortcut
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, strong batting form, superb bowling form, sublime fitness.
destructive player with feeble leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: superb
Batting: superb Concentration: superb
Bowling: woeful Consistency: abysmal
Fielding: worthless

4. Gregory Duff - 19 yo, BT Rating=23,685 shortcut
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime fitness.
steady player with strong leadership skills and mediocre experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: woeful
Batting: worthless Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: superb Consistency: superb
Fielding: woeful

5. Jason Delap - 17 yo, BT Rating=4,759 shortcut
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, proficient batting form, proficient bowling form, lively fitness.
An attacking player with proficient leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: woeful Concentration: worthless
Bowling: respectable Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: worthless

And also Lampard. Appleby just 1x bat; Duff 1x bowl, 1x stam; Delap 1x stam, 2x bowl, 1x field. Leaves Lampard with 1x stam and 2x bowl.

I guess I could put Lampard on 1 each bat and bowl, not sure whether that would ultimately make my side better than if I just trained his bowling.

Well he only played 3 or 4 games for the U19's, he was more of a squad player than a frontliner, so during that period I had to rest him up for the U19's, so he couldn't really play many games at all when he was 19. He also had too many nets to play at 17 or 18, so last year was his first full year of cricket and I think he had 3 experience pops, so hopefully he'll have quite high experience soon

to get really good players; you have to get a decent pull then train for about 2 years?

You have to train for about 5 seasons to get a player like Wickremasinghe who I posted above. It depends how far you want to go with a player, some people train for 3 seasons, others never stop training them and build up a monster player for their countries NT.
