I cannot make any predictions as of now but I think BAN will qualify from group B at the expense of any one of the test playing teams. Very difficult to predict anything else as of now!

I think he is wasting his time why not just directly say India will win the World Cup maybe he wants to show that India are so strong that they will win by clean sweeping everyone which is impossible.

Yes Sam you are right, it is bit too early to make any predictions. Few days back I just sat and made a prediction.I am being lucky so far with little predictions comming exactly as I said,  maybe this prediction too will hold good and we lift the cup and make our nation happy one more time.

Yes, Abu we can make this interesting.I will leave this open to forum members to choose to play in "Prediction Game" or "Just Predict but not participate in Prediction game"

Well I would like everyone to make a prediction of Round Robin games. We can have 2 points for every correct prediction.Points shared for every Tie/No Result.

If the predicted teams qualifies for Quarter Finals round  then 5 points for every correct team prediction.

If the Predicted teams qualifies for Semi Finals round then 10 points for every correct team prediciton.

If the Predicted Teams qualifies for Finals 20 points for every correct team prediction.

(a) OR (b) conditions not both
(a) If the Winner is predicted right - 40 Points
(b) If the Runners-Up is predicted right - 30 Points

Race to No 1 again ... started!

Moving to Fun & Games.

I predict the World Cup will produce maybe three or four fine matches but in the main will be a long, drawn-out bore, just like the last one was.

Cricinfo just came up with a very similar game to this called "Cricket Pick'em".

Raj, In pick'em they have the option of selecting a winner till a game starts which is fair because predicting the outcome of each game before the tournament starts is silly. You cannot predict like that.

and yes, several very good fantasy games for the upcoming WC, cricinfo has also got the main selection game, they are honest people and I can say that because one of my friends recieved the prize and the communication and delivery was very well organized.

Yahoo on ICC's official website for the WC has got a game called predictopus. It is still to be launched though.

espnstar have also got an exciting one, infact the prizes they are offering are better than anywhere else, However, I never believe their claims, I have won there 2 times but never got the prize, once after several reminders by me they sent me a cheque which had already gone past it's expiry date. Pathetic people those.

If there was some kind of facility here I would have loved to do that, but it is really difficult to do that in this forum. It is difficult to track, still possible.

Maybe yes, person can initially make prediction of all the matches. If he wants to change his prediction for particualr match , then just post about it (before the match).

I'll have a wild go which is more of wishes than prediction, nothing against any teams (those I have predicted to lose), I love all nations, however, genuine feeling is that BAN will make it at the expense of either ENG or WI, here I have fancied WI based on better NRR to go through.

I have written spinny more of wishes than prediction, However, I have predicted IND to win all other games except the first one.

I want the banglas to start this cup on a high, they are a poor nation and this tournament is the biggest event ever held in the country, apparently the excitement their is at it's zenith... can't want them to lose so so early!!!
