Against Australia...unlikely but I'd love to see it. I think he could
do it against West Indies if they have a bad day like against SL.

He did it against a strong Pakistan team, so he can do it against Australia, who are not in their best form, and he is playing in India where he has scored almost all those big innings.

Well don't be too harsh on Dhoni he started his career with a big bang scoring 148 (both against Pakistan in test & ODI) & 183* debutants are suppose to struggle at the start of their career unlike Dhoni who burst his way onto the scene he's just in bad patch of form but it won't last long a player with his mindset & skill he'll be back to his monstrouse strokes in no time. |

True. After what he did in the Champions Trophy, I'm sure that all he needs to do is imporve on non-sub-continent pitches. He was the best batsman for India in the series. Without him, we could not have got scores beyond 200 or 210. |

He scored 183* & 148 at NO.3 and I think 96 at 2 against England so he is sort of in the mould of Gilly destructive opening keeper batsman. He should open more often.

Give me Gilchrist first and then Sangakarra before even mentioning Dhoni and Akmal. Gilly and Sangga are not only better batsmen but also better with the gloves.

I like Sangakkara better. He is a better WK in my view than Gilly and of late the better batsman too1

Kumar Sangakkara infact has been one of the best batsman in the world in the top 5 ATLEAST. His keeping is first class he is no doubt the best keeper/batsman today. By the end of his career I wouldn't be suprised if he is hailed the best keeper/batsman ever cause right now that's what most people rate Gilchrist greatest keeper/batsman of all time. 3rd best is probably Boucher he is still 30 or something and will end up with almost 500 test catches.

Gilchrist is the more destructive of the them. Sangakkara will be more reliable! Kumar is the better keeper and Gilly the better ODI option.

My #1 goes to Sangakkara. He is technically well equipped than all other keeper/batsmen.
More reliable explosive when needed,a match winner, can play according to the situation.. Just forget the Keepers..if u take the 5 best batsmen in the world today he is there. Gilly is my #2,he is great batsman who can be rated only below Jayasuriya when we think about the devastating nature of his batting. Dhoni and Kamran too are talented, but must go far more to reach Sanga and Gilly, even boucher can be rated bit higher than Kamran. |

Paul Nixon a guy who came up for england , showed them a lot of fighting spirit, so probably with his late arrival we will never know the long term potential of the guy. He has been pretty immpressive in the short time he has been around, reliable with the gloves and gutsy with bat!
