What are you talking about Krisdey. Akmal has limited cricket shots?????? Well watch him closely mate, he has exhibited great variety of so many good cricketing shots with perfection of a batsman. He is not a pinch hitter like Dhoni or Afridi. His keeping norms are also much higher than Dhoni. Dhoni no doubt is a great future prospect with a lot of talent, but yet he has to improve a lot specially his keeping behind the wicket. Because Wicket Keeper_Batsman is always preffered over Batsman-Wicketkeeper. And also Dhoni needs to have a good hair cut or he has his power in his long hair like Samson Edited by shan |

And i did not say Dhoni is a crap, but i said sometimes he feels like it behind the stumps. Of course he is not a regular crap in the sense of this word. He is really a good discovery for India and spectators all around the world.

Yup Dhoni has a superstition that the power and success lies in his long locks [I mean long hairs]. a nice truth ,, for one endorsemetn ,, they wanted him to cut his hair ,, but he denied it Edited by krisdy |

Let me stir things up a bit.
First of all, Kamran Akmal is a better keeper-batsman than MS Dhoni. Keeping: Its obvious that Akmal's keeping is much, and I mean MUCH better than Dhoni's. Batting: Dhoni is a pinch-hitter. Akmal is a proper batsman. He's got the shots and he plays them perfectly. The longer he stays at the crease, the more elegant his batting is to watch. |

that is right saad. dhoni was brought as a pinch hitter against pakistan . he was brought to asked to play in number three postion to increase their run rate. at that very moment he happened to score a century and after that he has really been in good shape. even though akmal was quite a bit shaky when he started his carrer, he has developed himself as a nice batsmen playing good cricketing shots. |

No, no, no. I still wouldn't call him an amazing keeper-batsman because his keeping is no good.

sorry saad ,,,, your akmal is no good to fear anyone ,,,, he will always be someone like good player ,i mean good batsman ,, but can never match anything of Dhoni's batting abilities. Ask Dhoni and Akmal to open the innings ,,,, By the time dhoni hit century ,, akmal would be in just 30's or 40's. There is a huge difference |

When Gilchrist hangs his gloves up could Akmal turn out to being the best in the world- keeper-batsman i mean? Got competition from McCullum. Sangakarra who is class and Boucher!

put it this ways...Akmal's HUndred in the last test when pak were 39/6..was the best ive seen by a pak batsman..whenever pakistan are in trouble akmal has come to the rescue..Dhoni is a bashar like afridi..akmal is a genuine technically sound player with unbelievale talents! |

well I still beleive Dhoni is capable ,,,, but he did not deliver in the Third test match ,,,, like he did wonderfully in the Second test match. Moreover for the moment atleast It was Kamran's innings which changed the fortune for pakistan ; and Pakistan could win the series after a GAP of 19 years against India ,,, So due credit has to go to Akmal.

Yup!
Wasim and Waqar intimidated Sachin when he was a chubby 16 year old kid, but in the '03 WC, he smashed them all over the ground. |

You all were talking about Gily,Dhoni & Akmal. But I think Sangakkara is the best because of few reasons. 1.He has the more responsibility because he is playing @ NO.03 Position & that is the most valuble position in the batting. 2.He has played more matchs than Akmal & Dhoni with averaging very close and above them.(we don't know thees two averages how after this type of matchs). 3.He is above the Dhoni & Akmal and close to Gily with His Wicket Keeping. 4.Also he hasn't had greater patners Gily or Dhoni had in there batting likes Sachin or Pontin. 5.He shown that he can play everywhere & with any players.(He is averaging Above 50 in australia & he is the Best Player & Batsman for WOLRD TEAM in the World Series. This lines and other more & more things show his Talent, abiliti, dedication & comitment. That's why i think he is the best. |

Gilchrist. No question. A simply unbelievable batsmen still even now. Australia could have won the Ashes if Gilchrist was his usual destructive self but Flintoff did very well to tame him and take the wicket of Gilchrist several times.

Are you saying GERAINT JONES is the second best batting wicky in the world? His batting is good, but Sangakkara, Dhoni, Akmal, Sangakkara et al are all still loads better! |
