In a ODI Charl Langeveldt took 5-61 against the West Indies when they needed 2 runs to win Langeveldt took a hat-trick giving them a 1 run win. Not the greatest bowling performance but still a great hat-trick. Was that when Collymore took 7-37 or 7-87 or was that Jermiane Lawson SW?

You guys might think I am joking with this but one of the greatest bowling performances I have seen is Correy Collymore against PAK in 2004. He got 7/74 I think. He bowled as accurate as McGrath and got the perfect leg cutters and the once in a while wicked off cutter. Ask any PAK fans who watch it too, they would rate it! Top-notch bowling!!!

I agree completely, perhaps Kumbles 10 wickets, when he came on to bowl they were on 100/0 and he bowled them out for like 180. |

Shoiabs two performances against auss in tests. No one in the auss team wanted to face him, he clean bowled the top players and you could see the concern on their faces when he was running up.

Ambrose's spell against the Aussies at the WACA back in the early 1990's, he took 7 wickets for just 1 run in that spell.

That peformance by McGrath against Pakistan also comes to mind. 8/24 in 16 overs to have them bowled out for 74. Lovely peformance.

Bond's was great, but I enjoy bowling performances where the team is losing and all of a sudden one guy comes and takes the game away. That way Kumble's 10/74 would be one. Think of matches where India lost due to batting.

I gues I can be bias being a pace lad myself but seeing the ball fired down so quick just makes it better for me. pin is by no means any less an art form rather probably more so. Harbajan/s series against ustralia must go down as dominant. It was not so much he was unplayble but to take so many wickets over a series. Must rate with Alderman and Grimmett for series returns

I'd need to dredge the memory banks to give a definitive answer, but Harmison's 7-12 against the Windies does spring to mind - he was absolutely unplayable.

I never saw DKL and my answer is determined upon who they bowled against so many of McGrath, Murali and Warne's efforts do not qualify. Shane Bond's di-section of the Aussies was as brutal as I have seen. Ambrose in 93 was savage but on a bad pitch. Bond by a mile that I have seen.

Shane Bond 6/23 against the aussies in an ODI in the WC 03 in Port Elizabeth I think. I have never seen one wreck the aussie like that as yet. It was FIRE!!! Another one was Bichel 7/20 against england in that same WC. Bichel proved to be nearly the MVP for the aussies. |

The best bowling spell I have ever seen would have been in last years Ashes Series where McGrath took that 5-for in the first innings of the 1st Ashes Test at Lords. He was making little changes in length, getting the ball to cut, swing, beautiful display of line and length bowling.
