I agree that these people sound like salespeople from Aero.

I've had the same thoughts about a user called jbell.

I am entitled to my opinion on the pads, and your strongest point is that "Shane Bond wears them".

Shane Bond is an opening bowler for NZ, he bats at what, #11?

If these pads were any good they would be worn by good batsmen who know their gear from top to bottom.

Having spoken directly with a large number of manufacturers pre-season and seen many of them in person, I believe the GM pads to be the best on the market.  The leather is a very good grade and the stitching high quality but another great feature we thought was the adjustable knee socket for additional knee cap protection.  This protector is standard on most pads bar the 303.

Reason you dont see top test cricketers using Aero is becoz they all bound to wear their sponsors' gear as part of their contract.

Aero took off in popularity tho with the introduction of T20.  As far as i recall, quite a few SA and Aus players were using them in the recent world cup.

I got Woodworm, when I got my bat. And they squeak - which caused much merriment the first time I went out to bat. Not that they were laughing for long of course. I was out second ball.
