What in your opinion is the greatest catch you've seen before in cricket, this can be in any form of the game, First-Class, List A, Test Match, ODI, Twenty20 and from any time in history.
For me it's Collingwood's catch from Hayden against Australia in the NatWest series last year, it was a fabulous one-handed catch and one which I won't forget in a long time.
For those of you who haven't seen it, here it is:

Collingwoods was good as was Adam Dale's a few years ago, McGraths a few yrears back. My two best are the waugh brothers. Nearly 20 years ago, Steve Waugh took off from inside the circle and running back with the flight caught Roger Harper behind the sightscreen off McDermott. Mark Waugh's one handed catch of Chris Cairns at midwicket during the 90's was in my opinion, the best ever.

Or for that matter, any catch either Devan Malcom or Tuffers actually held onto could be labelled special. |

Pollock took a screamer at extra cover the other day, it was with his wrong hand as well as being taken on the inside which is much tougher. I thought it was up there with the best I've seen. Also, Collingwood took one in a one-dayer a few years back full stretch over his head, it curved really viciously at speed and he still plucked it out the air. Not forgetting Strauss, obviously, and there's one I saw on youtube which Sachin took, one handed by his knee, sprinting round the boundary

See this one. It's in the middle of the innings. (At about 3.59 on time line) Roshan Mahanama catches a screamer. Bevan ct Mahanama b Pushpakumara (That's why he is in the top bracket with Jonty, Ponting or Gibbs)

Collingwood taking Hayden in 2005!
Mark Waugh taking Wasti in 2 slips in 99 WC!
Pollock took a blinder the other day off Dhoni!
D Bravo against Shane Warne last year was a magnifcent C & B - the best caught and bowl I have seen!
Astle taking a West Indian batter right at the ropes in an Odi match!
Vasbert Drakes stunner to out the raging John Davison in his WC record match!

Ohh i remember that one...the ball was actually over the boundary (but in the air) when he took it. Luckily he managed to keep his feet from touching the boundary rope. I still rate Sinclairs as way better though Edited by NZ_Fast - 29 December 2006 at 3:18am |

Here's another great caught and bowled catch by Curtly Ambrose I've found on YouTube off Steve Waugh, unbelievable how he manages to catch it so easily.

Drake's catch to dismiss John Davidson to dismiss John Davidson after his 67 ball 100 against the West Indies at WC 2003. I love the disbelief in the commentators voice .....

I remember in the 2003 WC, Aus vs Zim. Blignaut was on fire and Lee bowled to him and Blignaut cracked a straight drive right back at lee's head at the speed of light and some how or the other, Lee hung on to it. It was pure reflex and if Lee didn't get his hand in the way, he would have been in the graveyard all now!!

some of the catches that fielders pull off are just pure luck and some are skill. But to be able to react that quickly is so hard. The wicket keepers have amazing reflexes, one that comes to mind for this is brendon mccullum, i say hes like a cat behind the stumps.
