Murali has 600+ too but McGrath being the highest test wicket taker by a pace bowler is quite an acheivment and also who could forget Kumble's 500 wicket haul I mean thats better then everyone elses

What about that Mohammed Ali guy who Inzamam329 mentioned he joined his cousin Kabir Ali at his county club which ever it is he smashed 193* or something in a 20/20 match when he was just 15 or so!

Well i meant Shane getting there first. I'm a big Murali fan...

Oh reminds me....Murali's 1000 wickets in international cricket!

GUYS!!! I have said this before, i'm not talking about careers, what do all these achievements have in common? They were all done in one match. I didn't put in things like Muralis 1000 or Wasims 500 in ODI. I'm talking about special events that have happened in 1 match!

I'm surprised Warnes gatting ball got so many. I see their point though because it did change leg spinning but he's done it since with Gibbs at a world cup and with Strauss.

I just hadn't read the bit on it being in one match. Many people are picking the Gatting ball for it's consequences rather than it's singular achievement.

I have to say the mmost entertaining of these has got to be Ali Browns 268. You cant get much better than that.

Superb... last ball of the session, Warne coming in around the wicket, drops it wide..Chanderpaul goes to play the cut and it spins 347878734258454895734 miles and he gets bowled!

There are too many of above type deliveries from Warne and Murali to comment about. (That's why they are legends) but Jim Laker's feat and Narendra Hirwani's feats are very difficult ones to emulate.

Don't argue with fools. They'll drag you down to their level and then beat you with experiance

Oh my god. Shane Warne is a truly great bowler. That chanderpaul ball was astounding, anyone who hasnt watched that thing, WATCH IT NOW!!! That is unbelievable, I'm shaking as I type this because that defies belief. His Gibbs ball was basically a double of the Gatting ball, has anyone noticed that?

Shane Warne is the man, much more excitng than Murali, but we won't go into this coz there's other places for that conversation.

Unfortunately most of these magic balls by Murali cannot be found on the net. The videos are exclusively with SLRC (SL natinal broadcaster). Since I have seen both on action, I can assure that there is a as good as delivery from Murali, when ever you describe a particular ball from Warne!

Even most of the people only remember the Gatting ball and few recent ones. Warne has produced many better than the described ones above in the past. One to Basit Ali is my fav. There were flippers, beautiful backspinners balled by him which do not get any notice!

coz they arent exciting. I dont care if Warne bowls a 90 degree spinner coz if he dont get wickets that balls going to be forgotten. Back spinners usually get spooned up in the air when theyre bowled properly and thats not exactly a dramatic wicket.

I'd rather watch Lara make 100 of 150 balls than watch ALi Baba make 200.

I chose jim laker because there is only 1 thing you can do better, and it will
be a hile before we see some one get 20 wickets in a match!
A tribute to the best signature ever.
