The Zulu was one of my favourite players. Much more better ODI player than Sehwag, Afridi and so on.

DF, if you haven't seen him, he was a breath taking player.

Best Bat: Sachin

Best Bowler: Wasim

Best All Rounder: Imran ( different era but he was a champ), Jaya and Botham unlucky)

Best Keeper: Gilly

Best Feilder: Symonds

Best Spinner: Vettori

Best Player: Zulu

Bobbi symonds is a wonderful athlete and fielder but Jonty was much better. Not many people would go to a cricket ground to watch someone field, fielding ws normally considered as a bore in cricket, but Jonty made people flock into grounds jus to see him field. Thats an incredoble achievement.

As for Zulu being best player, someone mentioned that you cannot have a blanket title for this thread, as cricket involves alot of different disciplines. I..e you cannot say sachin is a better player than warne, because they are completely two different things and not comparable. Therefore i split everything into the different disciplines to make more fairer.

Zulu was not easy to bowl at during the 1999 world cup he played some amazing knocks in unbelievable situations, i did not pick only because he did not continue that form for as long as those mentioned on the list.

fair enough about Jonty, he was a fantastic feilder. I just feel Symonds has an edge on him. Symonds is panther like, not as reliable, but could produce the extraordinary.

It could just be that at 27 I missed out on watching as much as I have of Symonds. As for Botham, same deal. I can remember Imran as a legend of the game and consider Jayasaria an all rounder. Beefy was probably more a bowling all rounder and a player most would not mind i their side.

Yeah it was sensational watching him play, he wasn't just slogging, he used to hit the ball cleanly and powerfully. When South Africa were down and out he used to play some of the most remarkable innings, definately one of the most valuable members to have. I just wonder why doesn't he get recalled

I believe that Michael Bevan is the best because he has been the most consitent player not getting and he is good under pressure he is much better than tendulkar.

The reason why Tendulkar hasn't saved India many times like Bevan is because he never had the kind of match winning bowler like the aussies. When Tendulkar makes a score, it's more than likely that the other team can make it. Bevan was a great finisher in ODI's, not doubt about it but he is no where near the little master!

I accept that But bevan was a One Day player Tendulkar is Test and One Day so u cant really compaire them all i am saying is that bevan is one of the greatest ODI players ever 2nd proberly behind Tendulkar.

How is Tendulkar suppose to finish innings anyway when he opens he's accumalated over 14,000 runs in ODIs with 40 tons!

Well it is still possible look, I can say that Tendulkar is a great batsmen in both forms of the game but bevan was there when he was needed he has a cool head. What about in 1996 against west Indes when he hit the 4 off the 2nd last ball to give Australia the when everyone thought Australia was gunna get beaten

I really like Shane Bond, his ODI bowling in particular is brilliant - as shown by his hattrick against the Aussies on Sunday.

Every body says it is Tendulker, so it has to be Tendulker.
