How in the world could Richards have more votes than Lara? That's something that's beyond me. Now it's really not good to compare players of different eras but even though I don't like to do this....I'd go with Lara instead of Richards. I have seen Lara bat more than I have seen him bat but I heard that Richards was a hitter. Now Lara has class and style in his shots......hitters hit hard and the ball goes...it's effective but still......when Lara plays his shots nothing can compare to them. Therefore, I'm asking this question to those people that chose Richards as the best west indian batsman ever.....in what way is he a better batsman than Lara??? What's so amazing about him?? You all would have your reasons for voting for him and I'd like to know because I cannot figure out why you all would chose him instead of Lara.
