    Posted: 11 September 2007 at 4:26pm
Ok, we all know how much BFM like's a prediction before a match (see the recent England v India series thread if you don't) so I thought we could run a little predictions league for the Twenty20 WC, and see just how good BFM's predictions really are.

Rules as follows:

Before a match post up your predictions for:
          Winning Team
          Batsman to score a 50
Bowler to take a 4 for

For correct winning team you get 2 points, and the other predictions are worth a point each.

Simple enough then.

So first up:
SA v Windies

My predictions:
SA to win
GC Smith (RSA) to score 50
D Sammy (WIN) to take 4

Smile

Well Edwards did bowl good this match. The best bowler for the windies in this match.

South Africa will have to get through Bangladesh first! They're looking ominous.

What about a Bangladesh / Zimbabwe final?

That's also a possibility, though I suspect repeat performances are unlikely to happen given that there's too much class in the top sides. Upsets are likely and have happened, but winning the tournament?
Good one Graham!

I picked NZ a few months ago, but as has been shown, any side can do it on the day, 20 overs is not a long time to perform, wich is why the lesser fancied sides are going well.
Monkey see, Monkey do.
