I'm a right arm medium-fast bowler and I was just wondering where I should try to land my bouncers. I can bowl good yorkers and good line and length deliveries but its just my bouncer that needs work. If I get some tips by tonight I can try them at practice tomorrow.

try bowl it on the batsmans body and make shure not to give him any room down the leg or off side or that will be 4 or six deepending how good the batter
go hard or go home

At medium fast are you really quick enough to be bowling bouncers anyway?

You have to rerlease the ball earlier then the good length ball, the yorker you relese it later.

Shouldn't you release the yorker earlier miniwarney?

Clobber, I've actually attempted to bowl bouncers, and the ones which turned out right, meaning they bounced at the right spot, went up at the batsman's body, and weren't too much on the off or leg side, troubled the batsman, or at least I thought it did because he had to duck. I say medium-fast because I guess I'm comparing myself to older bowlers speeds, because I'm one of the faster bowlers in the club. I'm 14 and play with batsmen around 13-16, so they aren't good enough to easily avoid bouncers  or properly play yorkers at the pace I bowl at.

And thanks for the tips guys, I'm going to try them next practice which is in a few days.

at times i can bowl some great bouncers but at times they can be rubbish. but i think it depends on the pitch as well as the ability to do it.

Yes, yorkers are released earlier than the bouncers, coz for bouncer u need to bend your back more than the normal.

But u better consult Bob Woolmer of Fletcher, But don't got to Greig Chappel , coz I am not at speaking terms with him for his statement about Akhter's bowling action.

Yeah, I'll talk to Bob when he comes round for dinner tonight shan.

So what is the ideal place to land a yorker? Half-way down the pitch or a bit farther up?

A yorker is aimed at the base of the stumps, so far fuller than half-way down the pitch. Ideally, it bounces just before the stumps, otherwise it's technically a full toss.

Right, yourker is aimed at base of stumps to land within the creaze before hitting the stumps. Yorker should be very carefully directed ideally towards the stumps through the block hole i.e. gap between bat and pad, to be more effective. And if you are able to swing the ball in air, moving towards the middle stump, there nothing better than that.

Usually halfway down the pitch. A bouncer is best aimed at the batsmans body. Do not give him any width at all, otherwise it'll be hooked or cut.
