Hello All,

I switched from Spin to medium pace - between beautiful deliveris - i tend to bowl wide down the leg stumps..

People who notice my bowling were saying at the point of delivery my hand is not straight.. and iam spraying it down the leg side

any help/advice??

Thanks

You could be falling away in the delivery stride lad , sometimes caused by tiredness.
Mental disintegration works for me !!

If I am spraying them all over the place I find it really helps when I concentrate on keeping my leading arm (my left arm are in my case because I'm a right arm bowler) very high and looking over my shoulder.  This stops me falling away in the delivery stride which I agree is a big factor in controlling the ball.

If I ever get this problem I try and get more side on cut the batsman in half with that front arm remember!
The First Century I ever saw was Heschelle Gibbs' 228 against Pakistan

hey..i am new to this forum..but not to bowling..first thing is not to get panicky about it..then find the rythm (very important ) and yeah straighten ur run up a little (maybe that could help)..and slowly always examine ur action in nets or at home and u can work on it..

Have a good follow through. I am a fast bowler and I understand the problem a bit. Try keeping a straight arm like your friends told you. Run-up is important so keep it staight. If you are going at an angle it will be tough to control where the ball is going. Its needs a lot of practice. Try and restict your line to between middle and a little outside off stump and don't let the ball stray down the leg side unless your havin some kind of a plan in mind and need to bowl there or if a left handed batsman is batting.
