i dont neccessaril support ramnking. LEE has just come back into Test Cricket this summer Saad and he is excellent form and only aveaging 22 with ball in like 7 matches, thats is excellent, he had to compete to get a spot with Michael Kasprowicz, Gillespie, McGarth for fast bowlers role in team. He only just came back and he is performing. If you look at his ODI record it is awesome because he has been able to play without his place in jeaporedy.

So how in teh world can LEE be No.4 on the list if he only just came back to tests, if u look at the rankings then he would have rose up dramatically.

Well, the rankings show that Ponting is currently better than Inzamam and I don't agree with them...mostly everyone else does. And the rankings say that Shoaib is better than Lee, and I don't completely agree with them. But all you ranking supporters (uhum...MiNiWaRnEy), IN YOUR FACE! The rankings say that Shoaib is better than Lee, so he must be!!!!!
Regulation without integration leads to suicide.

Pakistan's Shoaib Akhtar races in to bowl during the third ODI against Australia, played at the Gabba in Brisbane. The spirited paceman finished with 5/25, spearheading Pakistan to a 2-1 series victory

which bowler really looks the more fiercest.

Well warney Bret Lee is a good bowler and i admit is also a better batsman than shoaib but just look at this:

The LG ICC Test Bowling Rankings

Batsmen » Bowlers All-rounders
1 Glenn McGrath AUS
2 Muttiah Muralitharan SL
3 Shane Warne AUS
4 Shoaib Akhtar PAK
5 Andrew Flintoff ENG
6 Makhaya Ntini SA
7 Chaminda Vaas SL
8 Anil Kumble IND
9 Andre Nel SA
10 Irfan Pathan IND
Top 100 »

and then this:

Bowling averages for Brett Lee

class  mat  balls  runs  wkts  bbi  bbm  ave  econ  sr  4  5  10
Tests   49   10120   6118   192   5/30   8/123   31.86   3.62   52.70   10   6   0
ODIs   117   5931   631   211   5/27   5/27   21.94   4.68   28.10   8   4

  0

Bowling averages for akhtar
class  mat  balls  runs  wkts  bbi  bbm  ave  econ  sr  4  5  10
Tests   39   7098   3987   161   6/11   11/78   24.76   3.37   44.08   8   12   2
ODIs   129   6060   4686   199   6/16   6/16   23.54   4.63   30.45   4   4   0

shoaib has better average and economy in test and an economy in ODI.

Lee may above akhtar in odis but you are the one who said that it's all about who can perform well in longer spells and be consistent. Well my friend i believe that in test cricket a bowler bowls much longer than in an odi so akhtars stats in test just prove that in the longer version of the game he actually is more consistent and a better bowler than Brett Lee.

Lee has a better record but shoab is more dangerous i believe. This
makes no sense anyway.
My two favourite Batsmen:
Jacques Kallis is a very solid but destructive batsmen and not to mention he can bowl as well.
I also like Michael Clarke for his amazing batting talent at such a young age

Personally you are a fool. Shoaib is unfit, inconsistent, lacks control, cannot maintain speeds like Lee for a longer periods of time, and has more stamina and cannot bowl for very long spells.

Lee is more consistent, quicker more consistenly (Shoaib can bowl some really quick balls, but doesnt bowl a lot of them, Lee higher average speeds), Lee has greater control, a better yorker, a better bouncer, he is extremely fit and has high stamina and can bowl for long periods of time. Not a great fielder, weak arm, slowish. Only slogs, usually unsuccessfully..can't defend for long periods of time.

In the outfield Lee has a much stronger arm, is extermely fast and is an all round good fielder with safe hands. He offers a lot more with the bat and averages 20 in bothe forms of the game and can he the ball further then just about anyone else. Has a good eye. Much stronger defence then Akhtar.

IN my opinion Lee is far better and offers more to his side.

Shoaib is the best because of his accuracy and style of bowling he has.lee has a straight arm action and batsman can easily pick out his deliveries but its very hard to have about shoaib What he is going to bowl.So personaly feel that shoaib is the best
