Don't rule this out just yet, I'm sure they'll be a few other members who will want to have their say on this eg. Samhache and Tyke.

Sorry for being so crictical Bondy, I know it's hard trying to come up with something like this, and the reason I went with the 11K limit is that it keeps things simple. It's still a good format, I just don't like the idea that you have to have players in training, it would ruin my whole teams strategy and I would rather we just banned all players in training

Done. How about we add 3 players of wages between 0-500 instead.
Good one Graham!

You need to participate fairly this time, rather than pulling out midway through the tournament.

I like that idea, can you post up a final set of rules in a post so that everyones clear on whats happening. Also is anyone out of the cup yet, I've tries to throw mine to conserve PFL, but it looks like my opponent has had the same idea

yeah, within the next week. We need to confirm at least 10 tens within that format first, or else there's no point in playing it.

SO, everyone who wants to play and be a part of a revised format can you please sign up here:----------------------------------------->

Yep, I'm in. Although we're going to have to decide on the wage limit structure, I'm currently very low on cash. However, my team is almost perfect, except for the 3 players between 0-500 wage limit.

just throw in suggestions and we can customize the final structure ourselves using the foundation of my initial idea as a premise.

I'm surprised that we only have four participants so far. It won't be much of a tournament with four players but I'm sure this will get more support soon.

I'll name a 12 man squad due the fact that I still haven't purchased a player in between the 0-500 wage bracket.

Shoe               1000-2000
Yate               1000-2000
Barton           500-1000
Eakanayake     500-1000
Littlefair      500-1000
Rennie           500-1000
John          500-1000
Lyons          500-1000
Paul          500-1000
Anthony      0-500
?          0-500

Piatt           500-1000

Does this team fit the criteria Bondy?

I wonder what happened to this? I guess there just wasn't enough participants to get it up and running. It's a shame to see this new format go to waste though. What will happen to the battrick cup season 6?

I think you've answered your own question there MP, not enough people signed up. Also, people on here who don't want to compete in the cup are happy to challenge other members without having to be tied down. It's a shame though, you're right there mate.

I think it's best if we keep it informal for the minute, as not many members are wanting to participate in any type of tournament.
Good one Graham!

This type of tournament structure just doesnt have any real appeal to it. Users want something quick, simple and easy to follow, to go through and sort out a team that fits each wage bracket doesnt really fit the criteria. The best way to hold this cup is based on the way that its always been done in the past. Unfortunately, Battrick doesnt really allow for a fair outcome for all parties involved, for obvious reasons.

Nevertheless, you guys have put real thought into season six, and its a real shame to see it go to ruins.
