Champion League T20 starts in SA , there are some team playing qualifications rounds to join the other teams. Should be another interesting set of matches..

I will be watching DD closely , esp. to see how Unmukt Chand will play, this guy is going to make headlines too in future. In U-19 he looked one of the brightest lads.

well I must give credit to the Sialkot boys for going out there and trying their bit, they don't have any foreign superstars but they are fighting it out and that is great to see. Can't expect them to qualify or even win a game but this is at least a good experience for them, be it playing just 2 games.

Anyones tournament, some good teams there, I reckon the Indian teams will struggle considering the movement and bounce on dispaly I've seen so far today, esp the local Indian players will find it really difficult, perhaps RSA, AUS or one of the county teams from England have a great chance of winning this one. Just get a feeling that Hampshire and Yorkshire will surprise a lot of teams in this event.

How about the boundary size? 55 meters - that's a joke. Hardly any 2's there - singles or sixes - Stallions hit 10 sixes and 5 fours.

absolute joke, very very short boundaries indeed, I think his entire CLT20 thing is absolutely unnecessary, why should a tournament like this have an official window?

anyways, what is it with Azhar Mahmood, should have been playing in a green shirt at the WT20, chaah!

Apparently it was Hafeez himself who thought Razzaq should have been dropped for Tanvir as he wanted a new ball bowler, strange indeed, it is also to be noted that not only did Razzaq played a crucial knock in the Australia game but the only world tournament that Pakistan have won after 1992, which was the WT20 2009, Razzaq was one of the main reasons for winning that tournament.

last but not the least, if I remember correctly, Razzaq has a very good record against Malinga, there are at least two instances (one was the CT 2006 and other was I think a bilateral series against lanka) when Razzaq won the game against SLN from difficult positions by hammering the likes of Malinga.

beautiful chase lead by Haris Sohail, why can't pakistan just move on, get rid of those old crap players and invest in players like Haris Sohail and other young up coming talent?

Investing in Talent doesn't mean playing everybody and anybody, it means recognizing the right players with true potential and giving them a long run, I think Sohail is one of them.

4 team from IPL, 2 from SA and 2 from BBL and remaining 2 for rest of the four ... this is a big joke. Aptly written article in one of the websites "Where are the Champions"

Remaining two for rest of the five not four. (NZL, PAK, WI, ENG, SLN), and nothing from Bangladesh (Dhaka actually are one hell of a good side for God's sake) and Zimbabwe.

It is still acceptable if "Owner" nations have 2 representatives, but 4 from India is just way too much, also the Qualifiers are a lottery, they might as well have a lottery system actually, that'll save time. Sialkot and T&T were knocked out after one defeat despite the fact that both teams did exceedingly well in their 2nd game!

looks like the IPL teams have become the punching bags of CLT20, always thought playing in RSA will be difficult for them, even the overseas players can't save them.

This tournament has nothing much to do with team India as such but going by the performances of Indian players over the last 18 months or so it looks like they are fast becoming the typical Indian team of the 90's. Tigers at home and cats abroad.

How well has Azhar Mehmood been playing of late? Great to watch the commitment at this stage of his career. Only Chirs Gayle has more Man of the Match award in T20s than Azhar. Some stat that.

Azhar has been in absolutely amazing form and great to see that as well. Also I was so very impressed by the innings Neil McKenzie played the other day against the Mumbai Indians, one of the best T20 knocks I have ever seen, absolutely risk free that was the precision with which he found the gaps was astonishing, mind you he was up against the likes of Harbhajan, Malinga, Johnson, Pollard, all international bowlers.

He is playing another gem of an Innings here against CSK along with Gulam Bodi, with all due respect, it surprises me to see players like Farhaan Behradein in the RSA WT20 squad when they have players like Neil McKeinze who are so very effective.

The interest in India about this tournament, as far as I have felt, has been very minimal, not many people are talking about this, may be saturated after the WT20.

It certainly seems that way, particularly with the IPL teams struggling.

In a way, that's good for the competition i.e. to have more teams in with a chance but not great for the competition itself as it clearl relies on IPL support to have a big impact.

It's quite possible that there will be at most only 1 side from the IPL in the semi-finals.

CSK and MI out of Champions League, this is a fantastic result to open some eyes ... now all those guys who thought that IPL teams was just about 4 foreign players have got a fitting reply for their lack of cricketing knowledge that cricket is a team game.

What happened, why 4 foreign players (mind you world class foreign players)  could not win them the matches is a question that will be hard to swallow ... I am sure still  some guys will say, if IPL team wins then credit to 4 foreign players, but if they lose then it is Indian players fault.

I really want Delhi to win the CLT20, then what will they say ..... LOL, maybe run away.

It's very rare that a person like me would watch some TV shows with my family when cricket is being aired, but so boring have I found this tournament that I haven't found any interest whatsoever in watching these games. The only two games I have watched in this main tournament were the ones involving Lions against the IPL teams, Sick of saying this, but really do we need a meaningless champions league for almost a month where you don't even see champions playing being given an official window and no other cricket can take place during the time? Pathetic.

This is as needless a tournament as you'd get.

Semi finalists have been decided with CSK & KKR finishing 3rd in respective groups ... not bad after the start they had.

CSK played well right through the tournament and lost two crucial matches which cost them a place, while KKR started badly still they finished third with a game against off color and infighting plagued Perth  washed out, had that match not  abandoned, maybe they would have qualified on NRR and edged out Titans. But then CSK have themselves to blame for not finishing the games which they had in control while KKR will rue their slow start. Eventually the most deserved teams made the top four Thumbs Up.

All in all only Mumbai Indians did not have a great tournament as per IPL standards.

However all the nonsense and senseless talks by few biased commentators on air about IPL teams/Indian players unable to play well has gone down the drain.

Obviously those commentators have gone hiding ... lol.

I hope Delhi wins the title and paints their face red Angry.

Now that the last last remaining IPL team is out , the foolish commentators who were hiding all these days will resurface and start talking about what they do best ... start speaking nonsense LOL about IPL and that none of the four teams made it to finals.

To speak the truth it really is a shame that none of the IPL teams have made an impression, out of the 9 matches that IPL teams have played against Non-IPL teams they have won only 3 and lost 6, that is a very poor stat and once again shows the Indian players are very poor when performing abroad.

Mystery Lions are not a start studded team y any means but they way they have performed is quite stunning, again I have watched only the games involving lions so I have not seen much of other teams, but just looking at how well lions have played I would like to see them win.

Lions vs Sydney Sixers .... Home Favs vs Tournament Favs , a good one Thumbs Up.

I expect Lions to win this one (its great for crowds when home team finishes victorious), de Kock and Phangiso, guessing that one of these two will be crucial for their chances tonight.

Lumb simply leaves Lions numb, fantastic single handed finish that. After the initial strikes by Nathan Mcullum and Keefe to reduce them for 9 for 4 , Lions were always behind the eight ball.

A disappointing final , but maybe the powers that be will realise that this is a tournament that we can all do without - the reception here was really downbeat - no real cricket fans broke a sweat.
